WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT
I noticed that a lot of people are doing contests and other things for deviantART's 12th Birthday. And I want to join in! Since I did this late (dA's birthday is the 7th of August), I'll give you a lot more time and I'll make the goal, rules, and guidelines simple.
GOAL
For Artists - You must draw Fella (deviantART's mascot) celebrating a birthday. Make it interesting!
For Writers - You must write about what you think happens to Fella on deviantART's Birthday this year? [Examples: Fella gets a surprise birthday; Fella goes to a party with other sites' mascots; the deviants of deviantART surprise Fella with something for the birthday] It's up to you! Think of something clever or interesting. The more interesting, the likelier you'll win.
For Photographers - You must create a scene of a birthday party and place either a cut-out or a doll of Fella in it. Make it look beautiful, interesting, or anything else that might catch the eye.

RULES
If you are drawing it and you use stock (this is allowed), be sure to credit the deviant who created the stock.
No cheating, stealing, or trolling allowed. You will be disqualified.
Do your best. No sketches or other unfinished pieces allowed. If you can't finish something because you don't have the resources, try a different category of art.
Can only be part of ONLY ONE of these categories - Digital/Traditional, Photography/Photomanipulation, & Literature. That means NO Artisan Crafts, Customization, Flash/Film/Animation, Stock/Resources, or Disign/Interface.

Literature must be at least 10 sentences and at most 2 pages on Microsoft Word. If you don't use word, then at most 1000 words. Also, it must include the words "Fella", "Party", "Red", "Yellow", & "Blue".

King Fella Once upon a time in a faraway land, a young man sat upon his mighty golden throne. Every year on the seventh of August, a large banquet was held for the young man, signifying another year since his birth. This year was no exception in the festivities, musicians wandered about in the small village; their foreign instruments covered in lavishly sparkling deep red rubies, the young women's braids were filled with ribbons along with long yellow flowers woven into the intricate designs of their braids.
