Basics:
This is a challenge to use words (alphabetically) from here that pertain to relationships. If you want to change one of the words, go for it.

What is this challenge?
This is a romantic fan fiction challenge using alphabetical themes to write 26 one-shots of Character x Reader OR Character x Unnamed First Person Character challenge. Unnamed First Person meaning that you use I (instead of you like Reader fan fictions) when speaking but leave the Reader's name blank (_____) or put y/n or similar, whatever it takes for the OC paired up with the canon character to remain a 'reader' for the challenge.

Personal Preference:
  1. I personally like using _____ instead of y/n (your name) or f/n (first name) because both of those confuse my brain. I end up reading it as 'Yuna' or 'Fina' because it is the only thing my mind understands. If I see ______, it is a lot easier to read. Just a thought for when you write Reader fan fiction.
  2. If you decide that you want to do the parts out of order, go for it. If you want a bigger challenge, do them in order.

Goal:
The goal is to use these themes in one shot fan fictions to improve writing skills, keep canon characters in-character (unless specifically explained in Author's Notes that they are making the character OOC), and writing a story on something that a lot of authors have problems with, myself included: romance in fan fiction.

The Big No-No's!
OR...YOU FAILED!
  1. Creating a Reader that is a Mary Sue. Let's have a well-rounded character, okay. Whether it is emotional, physical, both, or something else, go for it! One Mary Sue test available here
  2. Choosing a theme and then creating a story that is complete irrelevant to the theme.
  3. Having your chosen candidate for canon character be OOC on accident. If you do not say in the Author's Notes that it was oon purpose, then that would mean a failure on that story.
  4. Your OC is a duplicate of one of the already existing characters in Undertale. Total Fail: Your Reader imitates the one they are falling in love with.
  5. You don't complete all the themes! If you cannot do all 26, you don't succeed. This is a challenge and you must complete all. If you do not feel comfortable using one of the chosen themes, look at the list provided in the Basics section. You can choose another.
  6. Love-Hate relationships are a no go unless it ends with a Love Only relationship by the end.
  7. No Canon x Canon unless it is for a character besides the chosen candidate for this challenge.

Extra Credit:
  1. One thing I recommend you do for extra credit is make your Reader or Narrator have a different personality per one shot. One Reader can be shy or quiet, while another one can be wild and sassy. Up to you, but it would be fun to experiment.
  2. Do it within a month (or a set number of months). Hard, yes, but it can be done. Again, up to you!
  3. Have your audience rate each of your stories with 1 - 10 :star:'s. Try to get as high amount per story as possible.
  4. Have every story be a different reader with a different personality, flaws, likes, dislikes, etc. Range out from the shyest, to the snobbiest, to the perfectionist, and the biggest slob.
  5. Having at least 1 to 5 stories be the other categories besides romance: Drama, Fantasy, Horror, Humor, and Sci-Fi. General won't make sense because that would mean you aren't doing Romance, and Romance is the basis of this challenge, so that's out if you want an extra challenge.
  6. Completing the challenge in order, using all the words originally chosen, having wonderful story flow that ends with you receiving between 8 and 10 :star:'s on all, and creating awesome fan fiction!

  1. adorable
  2. baby (offspring)
  3. cuddly

Who is doing / done this Challenge:
  1. RTNightmare's Sans x Reader - 1/26

Credit: This challenge is my idea. It was originally thought up in early July and was officially written and posted to my Stash on July 14th. If anyone tries to claim this as their own, I will show a screenshot of when it was officially written. I have not seen any meme or challenge specifically like this. Unless you can show me proof, do not claim this idea as your own.

Remember: When you upload your finished entries, please link back to this file and credit me. It should look like this: [The RRR Challenge (c) RTNightmare] That way, others can see it and try it out, too.

Participation: Please comment below if you are doing the challenge and send me the folder where you plan to upload your challenge entries. I will add it to the bottom of this deviation with mine and any others I receive.

DA Gallery: For those that don't know, this goes under the Fan Fiction gallery on DeviantArt. Beyond that, you go based off of the content. If it is more generalized work, go for Romance. However, if you are writing something that has more Drama (or Angst is probably more accurate), Horror (for scary stuff and/or more gorey content), or Humor (because jokes can totally be romantic), go for it. You can also go for Fantasy or Sci-Fi, but only if the work is normally neither of those, because then putting them into the situation while remaining romantic would make a lot more sense.
:star:Fantasy Example: The original cast is from a world with no magic and then suddenly they are thrust into a situation with magic or the Reader has magic (careful not to make a Mary Sue).
:star:Sci-Fi Example: The Reader is an alien or has been in contact with something alien or the original cast is into a situation with science-based content and the Reader becomes involved somehow.

:star:All the content for this challenge has to have romance in general to make sense for this challenge. No if's, and's, or buttttttt's.
:star:Challenge Rules and General Content is subject to change as time moves on. Look for updates if you wish!
:star:All Mature Content must be labeled as such for the sake of the younger audience on DA. Click the (?) on the far right of the Contains Mature Content? section when Submitting Art to your gallery to find out more about what is appropriate.

I look forward to seeing what you guys can come up with!

I will not be uploading any more until I have completed all of the challenge. I have finished one and will move on to another.

Recommendation: Upon upload, explain how the theme is presented in the story so it is as clear as possible. If your audience believes is does not fit, then that means you have something to work on!
